I could go on and on and on about this sort of thing. It was the Lipitor that got me! After 3 months on that stuff I could barely walk...and didn't know why! Just thought me knees and hips were going fast. Then I did a little thinking (what had changed in my life?), and a little research (what side effects has Lipitor?), and WHAMMO! Lipitor "may cause joint and muscle problems." It took 6 months off of Lipitor to recover.

I was also taking Bextra for arthritis problems. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) took care of that one when it had Bextra taken off the market. Thank God I wasn't on it long enough for it to give me any heart problems.

I read a lot and surfed around the internet, trying to find something, anything, that would help...and stumbled upon Genuine Haarlem Oil. Bought some and started taking it, and talking with Richard via eMail about this whole thing of keeping it simple...and sensible...and went on with my life. Here is how things are today...

* Wife went on Weight Watchers, and since I do most of the cooking, I started preparing more sensible and smaller meals. I've lost 23 lbs (213 to 190 on a 5'11" frame) and she has lost 24 lbs. My knees and hips are feeling great. Still a few little aches and pains, but easy to live with. I walk 1-1/2 miles in 30 minutes (treadmill) 4 or 5 days per week, which also helps the knees and hips.

* Diet and exercise, cinnamon and garlic, drinking water, have also helped with my cholesterol. Keep checking it with my GP every 4 months and it has dropped 10 points each of the last 3 checks...down to 227 now. My GP is willing to go along with me, since it keeps dropping. He checks heart function, etc., each time as well.

* I used to get 3 or 4 or sometimes 5 sinus infections every winter. Last winter, the first that I was on Haarlem Oil all winter, I had no sinus infection...zero...nil...nada! Man, was that ever great!!!!!

* Also had oncologist's check-up last month. Bloodwork and xrays and I am now 6 years cancer free. Had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma...and that's a whole other story!

* And here's the kicker! Come November I will be 70 years old, and I don't take any prescription drugs...not one...and I'm feeling better than I have in many, many years.
